October 12, 1956: Sent by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Pittsburgh Pirates to complete an earlier deal made on May 28, 1956. The St. Louis Cardinals sent a player to be named later and cash to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Toby Atwell.

Before 1959 Season: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the St. Louis Cardinals for Tom Burgess.
