August 19, 1986: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with players to be named later and cash to the Seattle Mariners for Dave Henderson and Spike Owen. The Boston Red Sox sent Mike Brown (August 22, 1986), Mike Trujillo (August 22, 1986) and John Christensen (September 25, 1986) to the Seattle Mariners to complete the trade.

April 21, 1989: Traded by the Seattle Mariners with Bill Wilkinson to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Mark Merchant (minors), Mike Dunne and Mike Walker.

July 22, 1989: Released by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
