July 1, 1921: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Chicago Cubs for Dave Robertson.

January, 1922: Sent by the Chicago Cubs to Los Angeles (PCL) to complete an earlier deal made on December 19, 1921. The Chicago Cubs sent players to be named later to Los Angeles (PCL) for players to be named later and Jigger Statz. Los Angeles (PCL) sent Vic Aldridge (January, 1922) to the Chicago Cubs to complete the trade. The Chicago Cubs sent Elmer Ponder (January, 1922), John Sullivan (January, 1922), Babe Twombly (January, 1922), Tom Daly (February, 1922) and Charlie Deal (April, 1922) to Los Angeles (PCL) to complete the trade.
