December 4, 1964: Traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers with a player to be named later, Frank Howard, Ken McMullen and Pete Richert to the Washington Senators for a player to be named later, John Kennedy, Claude Osteen and $100,000. The Los Angeles Dodgers sent Dick Nen (December 15, 1964) to the Washington Senators to complete the trade.

April 5, 1969: Purchased by the California Angels from the Washington Senators.
