November 30, 1964: Drafted by the Kansas City Athletics from the Boston Red Sox in the 1964 first-year draft.

May 12, 1966: Traded by the Kansas City Athletics with Arlie Burge (minors) and Stan Bledsoe (minors) to the Boston Red Sox for Fred Holmes (minors) and Bob Duliba.

December 13, 1969: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with Billy Farmer (minors) to the Chicago White Sox for Don Pavletich and Gary Peters. Billy Farmer (minors) refused to report to his new team. The Boston Red Sox sent Jerry Janeski (March 9, 1970) to the Chicago White Sox to complete the trade.

November 30, 1970: Traded by the Chicago White Sox with Ken Berry and Billy Wynne to the California Angels for Tom Bradley, Tom Egan and Jay Johnstone.

July 28, 1972: Traded by the California Angels with Joe Azcue to the Milwaukee Brewers for Ron Clark and Paul Ratliff.
