This offseason, Schafer worked with a physical therapist to deal with scar tissue in his wrist and to help him gain more strength. 'I’ve been swinging now for three months,' Schafer said. 'I haven't had any problems at all. I've been hitting twice a day. I feel really good right now. I can get back to balls inside. It doesn't hurt anymore. There's no sharp pain.
