October 8, 1979: Sent by the Texas Rangers to the New York Yankees to complete an earlier deal made on August 1, 1979. The Texas Rangers sent players to be named later, Amos Lewis (minors) and Oscar Gamble to the New York Yankees for players to be named later and Mickey Rivers.

April 1, 1982: Traded by the New York Yankees with a player to be named later and Bill Caudill to the Seattle Mariners for Shane Rawley. The New York Yankees sent Bobby Brown (April 6, 1982) to the Seattle Mariners to complete the trade.
