August 10, 1983: Traded by the New York Yankees to the Houston Astros for Omar Moreno.

December 16, 1985: Traded by the Houston Astros to the Chicago Cubs for a player to be named later and Billy Hatcher. The Chicago Cubs sent Steve Engel (July 24, 1986) to the Houston Astros to complete the trade.
