Before 1945 Season: Returned to Elmira (Eastern) by the Philadelphia Athletics after expiration of minor league working agreement.

Before 1945 Season: Obtained by the St. Louis Browns from Elmira (Eastern) as part of a minor league working agreement.

May 17, 1951: Traded by the St. Louis Browns to the Boston Red Sox for a player to be named later, Matt Batts, Jim Suchecki and $100,000. The Boston Red Sox sent Jim McDonald (July 18, 1951) to the St. Louis Browns to complete the trade.

November 28, 1951: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with Tom Wright to the St. Louis Browns for Gus Niarhos and Ken Wood.
