July 20, 1914: Traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Cincinnati Reds for Claud Derrick.

July 22, 1916: Purchased by the Chicago Cubs from the Cincinnati Reds.

March 23, 1917: Purchased by Kansas City (American Association) from the Chicago Cubs.

August, 1917: Traded by Kansas City (American Association) with a player to be named later to the Pittsburgh Pirates for players to be named later. Kansas City (American Association) sent Roy Sanders (August 26, 1917) to the Pittsburgh Pirates to complete the trade. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Alex McCarthy (February, 1918), Ray Miller (February, 1918) and Ike McAuley (February, 1918) to Kansas City (American Association) to complete the trade.

August, 1919: Purchased by the St. Louis Cardinals from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
