Before 1935 Season: Sent from Springfield (Mid-Atlantic) to the Cincinnati Reds in an unknown transaction.

December 3, 1937: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds with $40,000 to the New York Yankees for Willard Hershberger.

August 10, 1938: Traded by the New York Yankees to the Boston Bees for players to be named later, Gil English, Johnny Riddle and cash. The Boston Bees sent Bobby Reis (October 27, 1938), Tommy Reis (October 27, 1938), Johnny Babich (October 27, 1938) and Vince DiMaggio (February 4, 1939) to the New York Yankees to complete the trade.

December 4, 1942: Traded by the Boston Braves to the Cincinnati Reds for Nate Andrews, Eddie Joost and $25,000.

February 7, 1948: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Philadelphia Phillies for Johnny Wyrostek and cash.

April 3, 1950: Selected off waivers by the St. Louis Cardinals from the Philadelphia Phillies.

October 13, 1950: Released by the St. Louis Cardinals.
