December 11, 1985: Sent by the Detroit Tigers to the San Francisco Giants to complete an earlier deal made on October 7, 1985. The Detroit Tigers sent a player to be named later, Juan Berenguer and Bob Melvin to the San Francisco Giants for Eric King, Dave LaPoint and Matt Nokes.

August 21, 1987: Traded by the San Francisco Giants with Jeff Robinson to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Rick Reuschel.
