November 10, 1897: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds with Bill Gray, Billy Rhines, Pop Schriver and Ace Stewart to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Pink Hawley, Elmer Smith and $1,500.

December 12, 1899: Purchased by the Chicago Orphans from the Pittsburgh Pirates for $2,000.

Before 1901 Season: Jumped from the Chicago Orphans to the Cleveland Blues.

Before 1903 Season: Jumped from the Cleveland Naps to the Chicago Cubs.

December 15, 1905: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with Buttons Briggs, Doc Casey, Billy Maloney and $2,000 to the Brooklyn Superbas for Jimmy Sheckard.
