November 26, 1962: Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles from the San Francisco Giants in the 1962 first-year draft.

June 15, 1970: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Milwaukee Brewers for Dick Baney and Buzz Stephen.

November 2, 1974: Traded by the Milwaukee Brewers with a player to be named later to the Atlanta Braves for Hank Aaron. The Milwaukee Brewers sent Roger Alexander (minors) (December 2, 1974) to the Atlanta Braves to complete the trade.

December 9, 1976: Traded by the Atlanta Braves with Adrian Devine, Ken Henderson, Roger Moret, Carl Morton and $250,000 to the Texas Rangers for Jeff Burroughs.
