February 23, 1979: Traded by the Philadelphia Phillies with Henry Mack (minors), Derek Botelho, Barry Foote and Ted Sizemore to the Chicago Cubs for Greg Gross, Dave Rader and Manny Trillo.

December 12, 1980: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with a player to be named later and Jesus Figueroa to the San Francisco Giants for Philip Nastu and Joe Strain. The Chicago Cubs sent Mike Turgeon (minors) (August 11, 1981) to the San Francisco Giants to complete the trade.

December 11, 1981: Traded by the San Francisco Giants to the Kansas City Royals for Rich Gale and Bill Laskey.
