June 15, 1957: Traded by the New York Yankees with Woodie Held, Bob Martyn and Ralph Terry to the Kansas City Athletics for Ryne Duren, Jim Pisoni and Harry Simpson.

November 20, 1957: Traded by the Kansas City Athletics with Mickey McDermott, Tom Morgan, Lou Skizas, Tim Thompson and Gus Zernial to the Detroit Tigers for a player to be named later, Kent Hadley, Frank House, Duke Maas, Jim Small, John Tsitouris and Bill Tuttle. The Detroit Tigers sent Jim McManus (April 3, 1958) to the Kansas City Athletics to complete the trade.
