February 1, 1954: Traded by the Milwaukee Braves with Johnny Antonelli, Billy Klaus, Ebba St. Claire and $50,000 to the New York Giants for Sam Calderone and Bobby Thomson.

June 14, 1956: Traded by the New York Giants with Alvin Dark, Ray Katt and Whitey Lockman to the St. Louis Cardinals for a player to be named later, Jackie Brandt, Dick Littlefield, Bill Sarni and Red Schoendienst. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Gordon Jones (October 1, 1956) to the New York Giants to complete the trade.
