November 30, 1959: Drafted by the Cleveland Indians from the San Francisco Giants in the 1959 first-year draft.

June 1, 1961: Sent by the Cleveland Indians to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete an earlier deal made on May 10, 1961. The Cleveland Indians sent a player to be named later, Joe Morgan and cash to the St. Louis Cardinals for Bob Nieman. (Date given is approximate. Exact date is uncertain.)

June 11, 1962: Released by the St. Louis Cardinals.
