December 11, 1956: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with Jim Davis, Sam Jones and Eddie Miksis to the St. Louis Cardinals for Wally Lammers (minors), Jackie Collum, Ray Katt and Tom Poholsky.

October 8, 1958: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals with Billy Muffett and Benny Valenzuela to the San Francisco Giants for Ernie Broglio and Marv Grissom.

October 10, 1961: Drafted by the New York Mets from the San Francisco Giants in the 1961 expansion draft.

June 7, 1962: Sent by the New York Mets to the Baltimore Orioles to complete an earlier deal made on May 9, 1962. The New York Mets sent a player to be named later and cash to the Baltimore Orioles for a player to be named later and Marv Throneberry.
