November 27, 1961: Drafted by the Chicago White Sox from the Boston Red Sox in the 1961 first-year draft.

July 28, 1964: Sent by the Chicago White Sox to the Washington Senators to complete an earlier deal made on July 13, 1964. The Chicago White Sox sent a player to be named later and Joe Cunningham to the Washington Senators for a player to be named later, Carl Bouldin and Bill Skowron. The Chicago White Sox sent Frank Kreutzer (July 28, 1964) to the Washington Senators to complete the trade.

May 17, 1969: Traded by the Washington Senators to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Jim Shellenback.
