March 27, 1997: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Milwaukee Brewers sent a player to be named later to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Milwaukee Brewers sent Scotty Pace (minors) (January 6, 1998) to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade.
