November 28, 1967: Drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies from the New York Mets in the 1967 minor league draft.

October 7, 1969: Traded by the Philadelphia Phillies with Dick Allen and Cookie Rojas to the St. Louis Cardinals for Byron Browne, Curt Flood, Joe Hoerner and Tim McCarver. Curt Flood refused to report to his new team. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Willie Montanez (April 8, 1970) and Jim Browning (minors) (August 30, 1970) to the Philadelphia Phillies to complete the trade.

May 19, 1970: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals to the San Francisco Giants for Frank Linzy.

March 6, 1973: Selected off waivers by the Cleveland Indians from the San Francisco Giants.

November 3, 1973: Traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Houston Astros for Cecil Upshaw.

October 22, 1974: Released by the Houston Astros.

February 20, 1975: Signed as a Free Agent with the San Diego Padres.

February 16, 1977: Traded by the San Diego Padres to the Toronto Blue Jays for Dave Roberts.
