October 20, 1965: Traded by the New York Mets with Charley Smith to the St. Louis Cardinals for Ken Boyer.

October 13, 1967: Sent by the St. Louis Cardinals to the New York Mets to complete an earlier deal made on July 16, 1967. The St. Louis Cardinals sent a player to be named later to the New York Mets for a player to be named later and Jack Lamabe. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Al Jackson (October 13, 1967) to the New York Mets to complete the trade.

June 13, 1969: Purchased by the Cincinnati Reds from the New York Mets.
