January 17, 1936: Traded by the New York Yankees with Jimmie DeShong to the Washington Senators for Bump Hadley and Roy Johnson.

July 13, 1937: Purchased by the Philadelphia Athletics from the Washington Senators.

November 5, 1937: Sent by the Philadelphia Athletics to Oakland (PCL) to complete an earlier deal made on October 19, 1937. The Philadelphia Athletics sent players to be named later to Oakland (PCL) for players to be named later and Dario Lodigiani. The Philadelphia Athletics sent Jesse Hill (November 5, 1937), Bill Conroy (November 5, 1937), Hal Luby (November 5, 1937), George Turbeville (December 27, 1937) and Eddie Yount (December 27, 1937) to Oakland (PCL) to complete the trade.
