December 3, 1940: Traded by Atlanta (Southern Association) to the Philadelphia Athletics for Ed Heusser.

February 14, 1947: Selected off waivers by the Washington Senators from the Philadelphia Athletics.

August 9, 1947: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with Frank Genovese (minors) and Jack Aragon to the New York Giants for Russ Rolandson (minors), Augie Bergamo and Ken Jungels.

October 1, 1949: Sent by the Detroit Tigers to the Cleveland Indians to complete an earlier deal made on August 11, 1949. The Detroit Tigers sent players to be named later to the Cleveland Indians for players to be named later and Jim Wilson. The Detroit Tigers sent Lum Harris (October 1, 1949), Anse Moore (October 1, 1949) and George Byam (minors) (October 1, 1949) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.
