October 15, 1922: Drafted by the Washington Senators from New Haven (Eastern) in the 1922 rule 5 draft.

July 18, 1924: Traded by the Washington Senators with Chick Gagnon and Bert Griffith to Kansas City (American Association) for a player to be named later and Pete Scott. Pete Scott refused to report to his new team on July 26, 1924. Pinky Hargrave returned to original team on July 26, 1924. Kansas City (American Association) sent cash (July 26, 1924) to the Washington Senators to complete the trade.

June 8, 1925: Traded by the Washington Senators with George Mogridge to the St. Louis Browns for Hank Severeid.

January 15, 1927: Traded by the St. Louis Browns with Bobby LaMotte and Marty McManus to the Detroit Tigers for Otto Miller, Billy Mullen, Frank O'Rourke and Lefty Stewart.

September 10, 1930: Purchased by the Washington Senators from the Detroit Tigers.

August, 1931: Traded by the Washington Senators with Buck Jordan to Baltimore (International) for Johnny Gill.
