January 22, 1943: Traded by the New York Yankees with Ed Levy and $10,000 to the Philadelphia Blue Jays for Nick Etten. Al Gettel and Ed Levy returned to original team on March 26, 1943. The New York Yankees sent Tom Padden (March 26, 1943) and Al Gerheauser (March 26, 1943) to the Philadelphia Blue Jays to complete the trade.

March 26, 1943: Sent by the Philadelphia Blue Jays to the New York Yankees to complete an earlier deal made on January 22, 1943. The Philadelphia Blue Jays sent to the New York Yankees for . Al Gettel and Ed Levy returned to original team on March 26, 1943. The New York Yankees sent Tom Padden (March 26, 1943) and Al Gerheauser (March 26, 1943) to the Philadelphia Blue Jays to complete the trade.

December 6, 1946: Traded by the New York Yankees with Gene Bearden and Hal Peck to the Cleveland Indians for Sherm Lollar and Ray Mack.
