September 30, 1947: Sent by the Pittsburgh Pirates to San Francisco (PCL) to complete an earlier deal made on September 20, 1947. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent players to be named later and $100,000 to San Francisco (PCL) for players to be named later and Bob Chesnes. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Gene Woodling (September 30, 1947), Ken Gables (September 30, 1947), Manuel Perez (minors) (September 30, 1947) and Dixie Howell (January 15, 1948) to San Francisco (PCL) to complete the trade.
