April 9, 1956: Traded by the Milwaukee Braves to the Cincinnati Redlegs for Bob Hazle. The Cincinnati Redlegs sent Corky Valentine (May 10, 1956) to the Milwaukee Braves to complete the trade.

October 3, 1958: Traded by the Cincinnati Redlegs with Alex Grammas and Alex Kellner to the St. Louis Cardinals for Del Ennis, Eddie Kasko and Bob Mabe.
