August 7, 2002: Sent by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Cleveland Indians to complete an earlier deal made on July 19, 2002. The St. Louis Cardinals sent a player to be named later and Luis Alfonso Garcia (minors) to the Cleveland Indians for Chuck Finley.

January 27, 2006: Traded by the Cleveland Indians with Josh Bard and David Riske to the Boston Red Sox for a player to be named later, Andy Marte, Guillermo Mota, Kelly Shoppach and cash. The Boston Red Sox sent Randy Newsom (minors) (July 21, 2006) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.
