December 8, 1947: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates with Gene Mauch and Preacher Roe to the Brooklyn Dodgers for Hal Gregg, Vic Lombardi and Dixie Walker.

December 13, 1954: Traded by the Brooklyn Dodgers with Preacher Roe to the Baltimore Orioles for Harry Schwegeman (minors), Johnny Jancse (minors) and $50,000.

June 15, 1955: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Gene Woodling to the Cleveland Indians for Dave Pope and Wally Westlake. Billy Cox refused to report to his new team. The Baltimore Orioles sent $15,000 (June 15, 1955) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.
