Before 1957 Season: Signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates as an amateur free agent.

October 14, 1968: Drafted by the Montreal Expos from the Pittsburgh Pirates as the 11th pick in the 1968 expansion draft.

January 22, 1969: Traded by the Montreal Expos with Jesus Alou to the Houston Astros for Rusty Staub. Donn Clendenon refused to report to his new team on April 8, 1969. The Montreal Expos sent Jack Billingham (April 8, 1969), Skip Guinn (April 8, 1969) and $100,000 (April 8, 1969) to the Houston Astros to complete the trade.

June 15, 1969: Traded by the Montreal Expos to the New York Mets for Bill Carden (minors), Dave Colon (minors), Kevin Collins and Steve Renko.

October 28, 1971: Released by the New York Mets.

December 9, 1971: Signed as a Free Agent with the St. Louis Cardinals.

August 7, 1972: Released by the St. Louis Cardinals.
