August 14, 1980: Traded by the New York Yankees with a player to be named later to the Texas Rangers for a player to be named later and Gaylord Perry. The New York Yankees sent Marvin Thompson (minors) (October 1, 1980) to the Texas Rangers to complete the trade.

December 12, 1980: Traded by the Texas Rangers with Steve Finch (minors), Brian Allard, Rick Auerbach, Jerry Don Gleaton and Richie Zisk to the Seattle Mariners for Larry Cox, Rick Honeycutt, Willie Horton, Mario Mendoza and Leon Roberts.

March 29, 1982: Released by the Seattle Mariners.
