November 8, 1955: Traded by the Boston Red Sox with Al Curtis (minors), Dick Brodowski, Tex Clevenger and Karl Olson to the Washington Senators for Bob Porterfield, Johnny Schmitz, Tom Umphlett and Mickey Vernon.

December 6, 1958: Traded by the Washington Senators with Rocky Bridges and Eddie Yost to the Detroit Tigers for Reno Bertoia, Jim Delsing and Ron Samford.

December 7, 1960: Traded by the Detroit Tigers with Frank Bolling to the Milwaukee Braves for Dick Brown, Bill Bruton, Chuck Cottier and Terry Fox.

October 16, 1961: Purchased by the New York Mets from the Milwaukee Braves.
