November 13, 1985: Traded by the New York Mets with Wes Gardner, Calvin Schiraldi and La Schelle Tarver to the Boston Red Sox for Chris Bayer (minors), Tom McCarthy, John Mitchell and Bob Ojeda.

September 25, 1986: Sent by the Boston Red Sox to the Seattle Mariners to complete an earlier deal made on August 19, 1986. The Boston Red Sox sent players to be named later, Rey Quinones and cash to the Seattle Mariners for Dave Henderson and Spike Owen.
