The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Gene Woodling (September 30, 1947), Ken Gables (September 30, 1947), Manuel Perez (minors) (September 30, 1947) and Dixie Howell (January 15, 1948) to San Francisco (PCL) to complete the trade.
