October 4, 1951: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with Smoky Burgess to the Cincinnati Reds for Johnny Pramesa and Bob Usher.

June 14, 1955: Sent by the Cincinnati Redlegs to the Brooklyn Dodgers to complete an earlier deal made on June 9, 1955. The Cincinnati Redlegs sent a player to be named later and cash to the Brooklyn Dodgers for Joe Black.
