December 1, 1970: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Enzo Hernandez, Tom Phoebus and Al Severinsen to the San Diego Padres for Pat Dobson and Tom Dukes. Fred Beene returned to original team on May 16, 1971.

May 16, 1971: Sent by the San Diego Padres to the Baltimore Orioles to complete an earlier deal made on December 1, 1970. The San Diego Padres sent to the Baltimore Orioles for . Fred Beene returned to original team on May 16, 1971.
