April 27, 1961: Traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the San Francisco Giants for Don Blasingame and Bob Schmidt. The San Francisco Giants sent Sherman Jones (May 13, 1961) to the Cincinnati Reds to complete the trade.

December 3, 1963: Traded by the San Francisco Giants with a player to be named later, Felipe Alou and Billy Hoeft to the Milwaukee Braves for a player to be named later, Del Crandall, Bob Hendley and Bob Shaw. The San Francisco Giants sent Ernie Bowman (January 8, 1964) to the Milwaukee Braves to complete the trade.

February 1, 1965: Traded by the Milwaukee Braves to the San Francisco Giants for Billy O'Dell.

May 29, 1965: Traded by the San Francisco Giants with Bob Hendley and Harvey Kuenn to the Chicago Cubs for Dick Bertell and Len Gabrielson.
