December 3, 1951: Traded by the Brooklyn Dodgers to the Chicago Cubs for Carmen Mauro.

June 4, 1953: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with Bob Addis, George Freese, Gene Hermanski, Bob Schultz, Preston Ward and $150,000 to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Joe Garagiola, Ralph Kiner, Catfish Metkovich and Howie Pollet.

May 28, 1956: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the St. Louis Cardinals for a player to be named later and cash. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Dick Rand (October 12, 1956) to the Pittsburgh Pirates to complete the trade.
