August 28, 1916: Purchased by the Chicago Cubs from Indianapolis (American Association).

January, 1922: Sent by Los Angeles (PCL) to the Chicago Cubs to complete an earlier deal made on December 19, 1921. Los Angeles (PCL) sent a player to be named later and Jigger Statz to the Chicago Cubs for players to be named later.

October 27, 1924: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with George Grantham and Al Niehaus to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Wilbur Cooper, Charlie Grimm and Rabbit Maranville.

February 11, 1928: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the New York Giants for Burleigh Grimes.
