Before 1964 Season: Signed by the Los Angeles Angels as an amateur free agent.

May 6, 1967: Traded by the California Angels with cash to the Chicago White Sox for Bill Skowron.

April, 1969: Traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Ed Hobaugh. Trade was voided and players returned on July 8, 1969.

July 8, 1969: Sent by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Chicago White Sox to complete an earlier deal made on April, 1969. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Ed Hobaugh to the Chicago White Sox for Cotton Nash. Trade was voided and players returned on July 8, 1969.

July 15, 1969: Traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Minnesota Twins for a player to be named later. The Minnesota Twins sent Jerry Crider (May 4, 1970) to the Chicago White Sox to complete the trade.
