The Pittsburgh Pirates sent players to be named later to the Kansas City (American Association) for a player to be named later and Fritz Mollwitz. The Kansas City (American Association) sent Roy Sanders (August 26, 1917) to the Pittsburgh Pirates to complete the trade. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Alex McCarthy (February, 1918), Ray Miller (February, 1918), and Ike McAuley (February, 1918) to the Kansas City (American Association) to complete the trade.
