July 18, 1951: Sent by the Boston Red Sox to the St. Louis Browns to complete an earlier deal made on May 17, 1951. The Boston Red Sox sent a player to be named later, Jim Suchecki, Matt Batts, and $100,000 to the St. Louis Browns for Les Moss. The Boston Red Sox sent Jim McDonald (July 18, 1951) to the St. Louis Browns to complete the trade.

November 23, 1951: Traded by the St. Louis Browns to the New York Yankees for Clint Courtney.

November 17, 1954: Traded by the New York Yankees with players to be named later, Harry Byrd, Willy Miranda, Hal Smith, Gus Triandos, and Gene Woodling to the Baltimore Orioles for players to be named later, Bob Turley, Don Larsen, and Billy Hunter.
