The Chicago White Sox purchased Ferdie Schupp from the Brooklyn Robins.

The Philadelphia Athletics purchased Frank Bruggy from the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Detroit Tigers traded Jim Middleton, Joe Sargent, Suds Sutherland, Sammy Hale, Roy Crumpler, and $30,000 to the Portland (PCL) for Syl Johnson and Herman Pillette.

December 6, 1921

The New York Giants traded Mike Gonzalez, George Burns, and $150,000 to the Cincinnati Reds for Heinie Groh.

December 7, 1921

The New York Giants purchased Jimmy O'Connell from the San Francisco (PCL) for $75,000.

December 14, 1921

The St. Louis Browns selected Chick Shorten off waivers from the Detroit Tigers.

December 19, 1921

The Los Angeles (PCL) traded a player to be named later and Jigger Statz to the Chicago Cubs for players to be named later.
