November 18, 1947: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates with Jim Russell and Bill Salkeld to the Boston Braves for Johnny Hopp and Danny Murtaugh.

October, 1948: Traded by the Boston Braves with a player to be named later and Tommy Neill to the Seattle (PCL) for Bob Hall. The Boston Braves sent Heinz Becker (December, 1948) to the Seattle (PCL) to complete the trade.
