Pitcher Zach Kroenke was signed by the New York Yankees and scout Steve Lemke as a 5th round pick in the 2005 amateur draft. Kroenke was eventually picked in the Rule V draft two consecutive years. He was first selected from the Yankees by the Florida Marlins in the 2008 Rule V draft, but failed to make the team in spring training and was returned to the Yankees. One year later, it was the Arizona Diamondbacks who selected him in the December draft, but they kept him and he made his major league debut with the team late in the 2010 season.
