Youth World Championship
From BR Bullpen
The World Youth Championship (also called the IBAF 16U Baseball World Championship and previously the AA Baseball World Cup) is run by the IBAF and has been played 124 times through 2009. The tournament consists of players age 16 or under and was played annually in its early years, but is now a biannual tournament. The IBAF withdrew support for the 2007 tournament when Venezuela refused to issue visas to the Taiwan team; Australia and the Netherlands had already backed out due to security concerns. The tourney was held anyways with reduced membership.
