Worcester Riddlers
From BR Bullpen
In 1903, the Worcester Hustlers of Worcester, MA became the Worcester Riddlers. The Eastern League club was 25-39 on July 21 when it collapsed and moved to Montréal, QC, where they became the Montreal Royals. Overall, they were 37-93 under managers Zeke Wrigley, Bill Clancy a nd Gene DeMontreville. Clancy was possibly the biggest bright spot, hitting .317 and slugging .407 while manning first base. At least they weren't last in the league. They were 57 1/2 games behind the Jersey City Skeeters but 3 1/2 up on the last-place Rochester Bronchos.
