Woody Williams was the first Toronto Blue Jays pitcher to record a hit on June 3, 1997 against the Philadelphia Phillies off Curt Schilling, in the first year of interleague play.

Williams hit into an unassisted triple play on August 10, 2003 against the Atlanta Braves. Rafael Furcal was the fielder. He was the first pitcher to ever hit into a unassisted triple play.

He became eligible for election to the Hall of Fame in 2013 but did not receive any votes and was dropped from the ballot.

  • 200 Innings Pitched Seasons: 4 (1998, 1999, 2001 & 2003)
  • Won a World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993 (he did not play in the World Series)
